What's in a Name?

I'm down to weekly appointments now. My doctor was out of town this week, so I met with one of the other doctors. Despite the fact that all of my recent appointments have involved just a measuring tape and a stethoscope, it still usually took an hour to an hour and a half. With this substitute doctor, I was done in 25 minutes. His name: Dr. Swift.

So it occurs to me that it can be important what you name your child. Though I think naming ours "Honest" or "Goal-driven" or "Supernice" isn't the solution.

The day is rapidly approaching and we think we have a name chosen. Just the same (and we won't be revealing our ideas - sorry!) we welcome any last-minute boy name suggestions.

(Okay, now it's your turn. Suggest away!)

I totally like "superdupernice" You could call him dupe or soup for short.

I also like Roan (Ro-un), Roland, Taggart (Tagg), and others but kids just got home, gotta go!

Name we would have used if we'd had a boy last time: Elijah
Names Casey would not let me use because he didn't like them: Tate, Bram
Other names I like: Malachi, Ammon,
Cool names with no good nicknames: Sebastian, Patrick
There you go.

I think there is something to a name. I really do.
Aiden's name means "fiery"-never met a more "fiery" kid.
I wish you luck-the whole name thing is a tricky one. You're probably smart not to reveal the name beforehand because BELIEVE ME, you'll get lots of comments about liking and disliking the name. Let us know when the big day happens.

My brother-in-law's full name is, Rich Earnest Smart. How's that for fitting numerous qualities into one name?

I like all the suggested names and I'm sure the ones in your head are nice too (make sure you tell Mike, though, before the 28th)

What's up with your Dr.s? I never had an Navy OBGYN appointment go longer than 12 min. Just a preview for all of you what government medicine will be all about. And DONT complain about bleeding (even if it's 3 hours of heavy bleeding). I got YELLED at for that one. "Spotting is no big deal! Come back for your regularly scheduled appointment!" I guess I'm a bit off topic.
Names, you know the one I like: Graham (as in cracker). I also like Nate or Nathan. And that exhausts my ideas on names. It was all I could do to come up with 8 for my boys first and middle names!
