Maybe Chloe could tell I was feeling a little insecure, so she told me, "Mom, I love you up to the trees." I gave her a big hug and told her, "Thank you sweetheart, I love you, too."
Chloe continued, "And I love dad way up to the sky."
And just in case I didn't get the picture, she added, "The sky is higher than the trees." Thanks for the clarification.
Yeah, well, her dad is pretty lovable. I admit. He offered to be a little meaner to Chloe if it would make me feel better. But I think I'll be okay. After all, up to the trees is still pretty high, right?

So cute! Olivia is the same way-crazy about her dad!
That is pretty deep. chloe is a pretty smart cookie and good at abstract thinking. She is going to do really well in school. She is a real sweet heart.
Sometimes kids are unintentionally mean. My mom gave excerpts of all her journal entries about me up until I was 10, and one time I said that if Mom and Dad ever got divorced, I was definitely living with Dad.
the trees are way high! hee, funny.
I say if she's going to love anyone more than you it might as well be her dad - right? I'm dealing with a son who likes my stupid friend more than me. (she's not stupid but I'm having a hard time with it ok?) He only will cuddle with her and in all his 13 months of life never cuddled with me. It's breaking my little mommy heart.
She is a smart kid. Aim for the trees though, that's okay. You just do your best. Maybe having Mike be mean to her would be a good idea. That's always helpful to the old self esteem.
So, Anika always loved her dad more than me. But all the rest of them love me better. I wish they would love him more so they would GO to him when I'm making dinner.
