Why is Charlie looking so dour in all the pictures? His expression in the tub especially cracks me up.

I agree. He's looking very serious for a little boy in the middle of your typical little boy's dreamworld.
Charlie is like Buster Keaton--the great stone face.
But really he's having the best time, right?
That takes some cool nerves to let your kids play in the mud.

That's a good, calm mom to let the mud play happen. I think it's just great in every way. Kids should get to be kids just like this more often!
I always say that I love dirty kids because it means they have had a great time. Now, FILTHY ones on the other hand... I'm going to have to think that one through :)
