Baby Jumps

I just thought I would post about my new accomplishment, of which I am oh-so-proud. Yesterday, I took the stairs two at a time.

(Yes, that's it. That's my new accomplishment. I haven't been able to do that since some time last year. )

I got in the habit of jumping up them two at a time when I was little. The stairs leading up from the dark and scary basement were one straight line to the safety of the upstairs kitchen. I'd often imagine that something creepy was going to come up after me, or that the stairs were alligator teeth and if I didn't hurry, the mouth would snap shut on me. So I went up the stairs in a hurry -- two at a time. It stuck. I always had to bound up any staircase quickly so as not to be grabbed or bitten.

Well, it gets a little hard to hop when you're about 6 months pregnant. (Don't ya think?) And it's hard to hop after a c-section. (DON'T YA THINK??!) But yesterday - and today, too! - I took the stairs two at a time. I'm so proud. I'm comin' back!

LOL, that's awesome :) Now, if you could just jump on a trampoline...

I think the basement stairs are where I also learned to take stairs two at a time. But I don't do that so much now. Probably because I seldom go up or down stairs without carrying something, usually a kid.

But good for you, I forgot to say.
I'm training for the Huntville 5k on the fourth of July. You wanna come?

I was scared of those stairs too! I always has bit of a cold sweat by the time I reached the top! I did the stairs two at a time today for the first time, too! I was inspired by your goal last time we talked and I thought I'd never be able to do that again. Yay! I'm not permanantly decrepid. It just took me a year longer than you! And yay, Edith on the 5k goal!

Sorry, such poor grammar and spelling. I've got a jumping Jack on my elbow.

That's very sporty of you. Those stairs are killer.

Good job Vick!! It is HUGE to feel like you can do stuff again after having a baby. I remember feeling like I would never be the same again EVER - and it was so disheartening. So, congratulations - no alligator is going to snap its mouth shut on you. You are way too fast.

Hooray! I'm feeling so good about my own exercise right now, but I haven't yet had to deal with anything nearly so physically challenging as having a child. Way to be strong.

Way to go! What's up with all the c-sections? I had all three of mine that way and it seems like everyone is having them! It feels so good to be back!!!

I would love to take pictures of your baby if you want!
